The Kid Stays Out of the Picture
Apart from the gripping, well-matched action, today’s Blues-Spurs match was notable for the focus returning to the players, rather than the Special One.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen joy in the game in the faces of the Chelsea squad. It helps when the centre of attention is not the putative lead man in a tribute band for Interpol or some other purveyor of “mope rock”.
