Beattie Brace Fells Fulham

Ah, if we could only host the Cottagers every week. James Beattie popped two more goals to see Fulham off in a 3-1 Everton win. Since the Merseyside Derby on Dec28th, the Toffees are 8-4-1 in League play, with the only blemish being served to them at St. James’ Park by Nobby & Friends.

Richard Wright was back as Everton keeper, having found no goalmouth signs to stumble over. He’s actually had a fair degree of success in his return to play this season during Nigel Martyn’s absence. Beattie now finds himself in the EPL’s top ten goal scorers, tied with Robbie Keane and former Toffee Wayne Rooney.

Reportedly, Mikel Arteta was part of everything good in Everton’s attack yesterday (as per usual). Spain would be wise to give him a close look prior to Germany. Did you see his touch on that Leon Osman goal against West Ham last week? Beautiful.
